Ex 4.1 Matplotlib and Seaborn:

Objective: Explore how to visualize data with matplotlib and seaborn.

  1. Work through parts 1 and 2, and submit BOTH your completed Jupyter Notebook (.ipynb) files to the first quiz question on Canvas.

Part 1:

  • Download the Ex4.1_Matplotlib.ipynb and data.txt files and work through each of the steps in the Jupyter Notebook which should include both your code and the corresponding output that match the screengrabs of the completed steps 6 and 8 provided below.

Expected output: Matplotlib scatter or line plot created from data.txt file step 6

 

Expected output: Matplotlib plot with colormap from data.txt file step 8

 

Part 2:

  • Download the Ex4.1_Seaborn.ipynb file and work through each of the steps in the Jupyter Notebook which should include both your code and the corresponding output that match the screengrab of step 2 provided below.

Expected output: Seaborn relplot scatter chart from tips dataset showing total_bill vs tip step 2
